Davis, Gerald & Cremer Announces Return of Accomplished Oil and Gas Transactional Attorney

MIDLAND – Davis, Gerald & Cremer (DGC) is pleased to announce today that Sam Patranella has rejoined the firm as a shareholder in the Energy and Business Organizations & Governance groups, where he will focus on transactions, title, and corporate matters. Mr. Patranella will office in the Austin and Midland offices. Previously, he was a partner with a distinguished global law firm.

Mr. Patranella has substantial experience negotiating and closing energy transactions. His practice consists of representing public and private companies in their acquisitions and divestitures, purchase and sale agreements, operating agreements, farmout agreements, development agreements, and other energy agreements, including operational and exploration matters. Mr. Patranella will additionally focus on all phases of oil and gas title examination, including drilling, division order, acquisition, and mineral opinions, the accompanying curative document preparation, and the diligence of large-scale assets. Aided by his in-house and industry experience, Mr. Patranella will advise startups and private clients on legal issues arising throughout their life cycle from founding to exit, and all related corporate matters and governance, including master service agreements, confidentiality agreements, human resources matters and employment agreements, and other day to day issues.

Prior to returning to private practice, Mr. Patranella worked in-house with Concho Resources, Statoil, and as an initial member, executive and general counsel of Luxe Energy and Luxe Minerals.
