March 13, 2020 – DGC Law Associate Mr. Sam Allen was invited to speak to a group of current law students at the Midland Petroleum Museum for an event that is part of the Energy Law Program with the Texas Tech School of Law.  Professor Bill Keffer has made regular trips to the Permian Basin with law students as part of the Energy Law Program to give those students an insider’s view of the industry and the professionals serving it. Along with other local attorneys, Mr. Allen spoke about practicing law in Midland as a young attorney just out of law school and what the students could expect as a young attorney serving the Permian Basin’s energy business. He also spoke about his experience negotiating legal issues with opposing attorneys during his first year of practicing law and his involvement in drafting pleadings and motions for complex legal issues.
